Not for most of our treks. The Bhairav Kunda Trek, Sailung Trek and Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek are all suitable for beginners with no prior trekking experience. For moderate and strenuous treks like Annapurna Base Camp and Tilicho Lake, basic fitness is recommended. WhatsApp us and we will suggest the right trek for your level.
We arrange every required permit before your trek begins - TIMS card, ACAP, Langtang National Park, Sagarmatha National Park and all restricted area permits. You only need to bring your original citizenship card or passport for the permit application process.
Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) are the two best trekking seasons in Nepal. Spring brings rhododendron blooms and stable weather. Autumn offers the clearest mountain views of the year. Some lower altitude treks like Poon Hill and Sailung can be done year round.
Travel and trekking insurance is strongly recommended for all treks and mandatory for the Everest Base Camp Trek. Your insurance should cover emergency helicopter evacuation - this is critical for high altitude treks above 4,000m. We do not arrange insurance but can advise on what to look for.
Yes. All our trekking packages can be arranged as private treks for your group - solo, couple, family or large group. WhatsApp us with your dates and group size and we will arrange a private departure.
Nepal's mountain weather can be unpredictable. Our guides make safety decisions on the route based on current conditions. If weather forces a route change or early return, we will arrange accommodation and transport accordingly. Some costs due to weather changes may not be covered in the base package price.
For short treks like Bhairav Kunda and Sailung, 3-5 days advance booking is usually sufficient. For multi-day treks like Tilicho Lake, Annapurna and Everest Base Camp, we recommend booking at least 2-3 weeks in advance to arrange permits, accommodation and transport properly.
