Departures run on a fixed schedule. Please be at your pickup point on time because we cannot wait for late arrivals.

Frequently Asked Questions ~ Sailung Tour Package

Is the Sailung tour suitable for beginners?

Yes. Sailung is one of our most beginner-friendly trips. No prior trekking experience needed. The walk to Sailung Top is moderate and manageable for all fitness levels.

What is the difference between the day trip and overnight package?

The day trip returns to Kathmandu the same evening. The overnight package stays at Kalapani Village - includes campfire, cultural program, dinner and sunrise views the next morning. The overnight version is significantly more rewarding.

Can I see Everest from Sailung?

Yes, on a clear day Everest is visible from Sailung Top. Best visibility in October, November and March. Monsoon months have cloud cover that limits distant views.

How do I join if I am traveling solo?

Solo travelers are welcome on all fixed departures. You join the group departing on Friday or Saturday. WhatsApp us to confirm the next available departure.

Is food included in the day trip?

The day trip includes one Veg Lunch on the way. The overnight package includes 2 Veg Lunches, 1 Non-Veg Dinner (Chicken) and 1 Breakfast. Personal snacks and extra drinks are not included.

What if it rains on the day of the trip?

Light rain does not cancel the trip. For severe weather making the trail unsafe we will inform you in advance and arrange an alternative date or refund of advance.
