Different day trips shine in different seasons. Some are perfect all year, while others are best enjoyed in summer, winter, or after the monsoon.
Sailung, Nagthali, Bethanchowk and Kalinchowk are accessible year round. Winter months bring snow at higher elevations, while Autumn and Spring offer the clearest mountain views.
Waterfall hikes and Sukute Beach are at their best during warmer months. Waterfalls are in full flow during monsoon, and Sukute river is ideal for swimming.
Bhairav Kunda frozen lake is spectacular in winter. The surface freezes completely, creating a dramatic ice landscape.
Warm clothing is essential. Temperature can drop below -10°C at 4,250m.Higher altitude destinations like Bhairav Kunda, Sailung and Nagthali may have limited views due to cloud cover. Waterfall hikes are better during this period.
